About Edit PDF
Edit PDF lets you draw directly onto a document: add a text box, drop in an image, and place shapes, positioning everything visually on a rendered preview of the page.
Your additions are drawn into a new copy when you save, so the original file on your disk is untouched. Rendering and writing both happen locally, which means the document is never uploaded.
It is an annotation editor rather than a word processor — you are placing new content on top of the page, not reflowing the text that is already there. To change existing wording, convert with PDF to Word, edit, and export again.
How to use Edit PDF
- Open the PDF you want to edit.
- Pick a tool — text, image, or shape — and place it on the page.
- Drag items to position them, and adjust size or colour as needed.
- Save to download the edited PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the text that is already in the PDF?
No. This tool places new content over the page. To rewrite existing text, use PDF to Word, edit the document, then convert it back.
Is my original file changed?
No. Saving produces a new PDF for download and leaves the file on your disk exactly as it was.
