About Merge PDF
Merge PDF joins several PDF files into one document. Add your files, arrange them into the order you want, and download a single combined PDF. Page content, fonts and embedded images are copied across as-is, so nothing is re-encoded and no quality is lost.
The merge runs in your browser's own memory using pdf-lib. Your documents are never sent to a server, which means contracts, invoices and scanned ID documents stay on your machine — and there is nothing left on someone else's disk to delete afterwards.
How to use Merge PDF
- Select two or more PDF files, or drop them onto the upload area.
- Use the up and down controls to arrange the files into the order you want them combined.
- Remove any file you added by mistake.
- Click Merge PDF — the combined document downloads automatically.
Frequently asked questions
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit. The practical ceiling is your device's memory, since every file is held in the browser while merging. Large scanned documents hit that ceiling sooner than a long list of small ones.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Merging happens entirely in your browser, and closing the tab discards everything. No file ever crosses the network.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied without re-encoding, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. If you need a smaller result, run Compress PDF on the merged file afterwards.
