About PDF to Word
PDF to Word pulls the text out of a PDF and writes it into a .docx you can edit in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice. Reading order is preserved and each page of the source becomes a page in the output.
This is a text conversion rather than a layout clone — original fonts, columns, images and tables are not reproduced. It is the right tool when you want the words back in an editable form; it is not a way to recover a pixel-identical editable copy of a designed document.
If your PDF is a scan, there is no text to extract. Run OCR PDF on it first, then convert.
How to use PDF to Word
- Select the PDF you want to convert.
- Let the text extract — pages are read in order.
- Download the .docx file.
- Open it in your editor and reapply any formatting you need.
Frequently asked questions
My converted document is empty. Why?
The PDF is almost certainly a scan, so its pages are images with no text layer. Run OCR PDF first to make the text extractable.
Are images and tables carried over?
No. The output contains text laid out as paragraphs, one source page per page. Images and table structure are not reproduced.
