Password protection is not available yet. pdf-lib, the library this app uses for PDF editing, does not support encryption — a documented gap rather than an oversight.

Building it on an unvetted crypto implementation would be the wrong call for a feature whose entire purpose is protecting sensitive documents: it would look like protection while providing far less than users would reasonably assume. This needs an audited encryption library or a server-side service first.
